The Embassy of Zimbabwe participated in a Charity Bazaar organised by the Diplomatic Ladies Association of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, held from 01 to 03 November 2023. The event was held at the Center for Political and International Studies in Tehran. Participants were drawn from the spouses of diplomats from various missions and international organisations accredited to the Islamic Republic of Iran and spouses of diplomats from Iran. The spouse of the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Amir Abdollahian was the guest of honour at the event.

Various visitors to the Zimbabwean stall, including the guest of honour, were impressed by the Zimbabwean artifacts that were on display and wanted to buy them. those who sampled the Zimbabwean dishes could not help themselves but ask for more of the tasty dishes.

Credit goes to the spouse of the Zimbabwean Ambassador to Iran and her team who prepared the cuisine which included Zimbabwe's famous dishes such as sadza, oxtail stew, dried fried kapenta, black jack in peanut butter, hard boild chicken, offals and tanganda teas.

Artifacts that were on display included stone sculptors from world renowned Zimbabwean sculptors as well as handcrafts from artists from Zimbabwe.

Proceeds from the sale of the artifacts and the food were later donated to various charity organisations in Iran.
