To return the deceased's body to Zimbabwe, the following are required:

1. Zimbabwe Passport of the Deceased
2. Death Certificate
3. Certificate of Communicable / Non-Communicable Disease
4. Mummification Certificate
5. Certificate / Order of Suspension (Permission to repatriate the body from the country of death)
6. Sworn Certificate of Funeral Wardens
7. Return To Country fee is US$10

If the deceased does not have a Zimbabwean passport, those interested in the funeral should apply to the Embassy with the following additional documents:
a) Zimbabwe national identity card and/or Zimbabwe birth certificate of the deceased
b) An affidavit written by their closest relatives stating that the person is indeed a Zimbabwean citizen and the nature of the relationship
c) With these documents, the Embassy will request the necessary permissions from Harare before being sent back to its country.
